  • Preparation and service of classic drinks and cocktails
  • Principles of modern mixology
  • Presentation of the components of a beverage menu
  • Sanitation rules and safety measures
  • Responsible service of alcoholic beverages
  • Elements of exceptional customer service: : order taking, recommendations, communication and professionalism
  • Stock management
  • Inventory, mise en place and closing

  • The ITHQ reserves the right to cancel a course or program if there are insufficient registrations to justify its offering. In such cases, program and registration fees will be refunded in full.

Dress code

  • Professional uniforms (black shirt, black pants, black shoes and black tie, available from the supplier of your choice) must be worn at all times.
  • A black apron will be provided by the ITHQ.
  • All students must comply to basic rules in regards to professional image.

  • Attestation of completion of the Éduc’alcool Action Service program

Admission requirements

To be eligible for this program, you must:

  • Be at least 18 years of age before the course start date
  • Be fluent in oral and written French

  • Spots are limited to 16 students per group.
  • Applications are selected on a first come, first served basis according to the date of receipt of the admission application. 
  • In the event that the program is full, you will be able to add your name to a waiting list.

International applicants

Admission to this program is conditional on obtaining or possessing a valid status in Canada (visitor’s visa, study permit, work permit, visitor’s record, etc.) for the duration of the program.

Please note that it is not possible to obtain a study permit for this program. In addition, the ITHQ does not provide a letter of invitation for a temporary resident visa (TRV). For more information, we invite you to consult the website of the Ministère de l’Immigration, de la Francisation et de l’Intégration (MIFI).

  • Proof of photo identification (passport or driver’s license)

  • Applicants must meet all of the requirements of their chosen program and provide all required documents. Incomplete or late admission application file will be considered ineligible.
  • In order for your file to be considered complete, be sure to upload legible copies of all official documents required by your status in PDF format. 
  • Documents that are not in French or English must be accompanied by an official translation in French or English.
