An Exceptional Evening by ITHQ’s Emerging Talent
This new concept of a gastronomic cocktail dinner, designed as a food and wine pairing experience, showcased the talent of students from the Superior Culinary Arts Program. Students from the Gastronomic Restaurant Service Program managed the five service courses of the evening. The food and wine pairings were carefully selected by Éric Chevrier, the evening’s master sommelier, an ITHQ graduate and maître d’hôtel at the Restaurant de l’Institut.
Organized in collaboration with the Association Restauration Québec (ARQ), the event was held under the honorary chairmanship of Mr. Claude Descôteaux, Chair of the ARQ Board of Directors from 2003 to 2006. Thanks to the generosity and participation of guests, a total of $29,200 was raised.
The Fondation de l’ITHQ would like to extend special thanks to our alumni, former Françoise-Kayler Scholarship recipients, for their participation in an intimate and inspiring panel during the evening: Jonathan Lapierre-Réhayem, Director of Food & Beverage at the Institut de tourisme et d’hôtellerie du Québec (ITHQ); Jessica Noël, co-owner of Mon Lapin and Rôtisserie La Lune; and Marc-André Jetté, co-owner of Hoogan et Beaufort, Annette Bar à vin, Boucherie Édouard & Léo, and Hoogan et Beaufort Événement.
