Prepare your application

Here are the 5 steps to follow to submit an application to the ITHQ as an international student.

The ITHQ offers tourism, hotel management and restaurant services programs at 3 academic levels: vocational (DVS-AVS), technical (DCS), and university (bachelor’s and certificate).

Good to know

Not all programs offered at the ITHQ are open to international students. In fact, since the Canadian government does not issue study permits for part-time programs of more than 6 months, these are excluded from the list of programs that are available to you.

Only the following programs are given in English or both languages:

Depending on your chosen program, a proof of language proficiency in English or French could be required.

To find out more about language proficiency evaluation, consult the Admission requirements section of the program web page.

Once you have chosen your program and your language proficiency has been assessed, you are ready to prepare your application documents.

  • The list of documents to include with your application can be found in the Required documents section of the program web page. To access the list, click on the status that corresponds to your situation.
  • Documents that are not in French or English must be accompanied by a certified translation in French or English.
