In massage therapy, the quality of the therapeutic relationship is built on trust, respect and clear communication. Every interaction, every gesture and every conversation helps create a safe environment for both clients and massage therapists. 

This 30-minute interactive online training offers practical guidance on consent, professional boundaries and ethical conduct in clinical practice. It is designed to reinforce best practices that foster respectful, compassionate and professional client experiences. 

This training was developed by the Association québécoise des spas (AQS) in partnership with the ITHQ hospitality consulting centre’s team.  

This training course is intended for:

  • Massage therapists 
  • Managers of spas and massage therapy clinics

Objectives

Through realistic scenarios, everyday examples and practical strategies that can be applied immediately, this training will help you: 

  • Recognize issues related to sensitive complaints 
  • Identify signs and situations that may cause discomfort 
  • Implement techniques that help foster a climate of trust
