Our educational projet

About our educational project

The ITHQ has created an Educational Project that sets out:

  • Its vision and commitments that guide our institution’s educational activities and that our entire community enacts to help students persevere and succeed.
  • The collective commitment of our faculty and other teaching and non-teaching staff to creating an environment and educational approach that is conducive to learning.
  • A series of actions that empower students to take ownership of their success by supporting their ambitions to create a career and life path that reflect who they are.

Our educational vision

The ITHQ is a Francophone hospitality school that is unique in Canada and open to the world. It shares knowledge about the hospitality industry while drawing from soft skills that are distinctively North American and hard skills that uphold the sector’s traditions.

Our educational approach and commitment

Supported by the ITHQ’s institutional values of respect, listening, empathy, excellence, recognition, and commitment, all members of our community commit to:

  • By treating everyone with openness and with respect for their diversity and difference.
  • By creating memorable and positive relationships and experiences.
  • By becoming passionately involved in the community.
  • By building relationships of trust based on integrity, honesty, loyalty and generosity.
  • By applying the highest standards to make a positive impact on our employees, industry members, and society as a whole.
  • By recognizing the contributions and achievements that benefit the group and by valuing individual accomplishments.
  • By developing a keen sense of detail adapted to the specific situations and standards of the hospitality industry in its five tourism sectors.
  • By humbly building a work culture based on diligence and consistency, in keeping with the requirements of our professional environment.
  • By seizing opportunities to test new ideas.
  • By developing critical faculties and seeing mistakes as opportunities to learn.
