Description

As more and more people seek to include their pets in their vacation plans, the Association hôtellerie du Québec has commissioned ExperiSens to develop new knowledge on this topic, in order to support Québec hotel establishments in their practices of welcoming tourists and their dogs.

This research project was carried out in 2 phases. In its initial phase, the study aimed to create a profile of customers who travel with their dogs, then to identify their motivations, the challenges they face, and their expectations of tourist accommodations. Subsequently, the study sought to produce a guide to best practices for welcoming dogs, intended for hoteliers and hospitality professionals operating in Québec.

The results of the study will enable establishment managers to optimize their service offering for guests travelling with their pets.
