Partnership, donation and sponsorship requests

Every year, the ITHQ receives a large number of applications for partnerships, donations and sponsorships. To ensure fair and equitable treatment of these requests, the institution has adopted guidelines which are shared here with full transparency.

Guiding principles

The ITHQ supports organizations, events and projects that enable it to fulfill its mission and strengthen its positioning as a leading hotel school. Thus:  

  • The ITHQ favours collaborations that support its mission and leadership role in the tourism, hospitality and restaurant services (THR) sectors. Proposals aligned with these sectors are therefore given priority. 
  • Above all, ITHQ encourages the training of the next generation, mainly through the Fondation de l’ITHQ.  
  • The ITHQ already maintains close ties with the non-profit organizations La Tablée des Chefs and La Maison du Père. 

Eligibility criteria 

In order to be considered, your request for partnership, donation or sponsorship must meet the following criteria:  

  • The application cannot involve the promotion of a brand or product.
  • The application cannot be submitted in favour of a single individual. 
  • The application must come from a recognized organization (NPO, company, etc.) that displays environmentally responsible practices and sound management and governance. 
  • The organization submitting the application must have no political or religious affiliation. 
  • The event or project related to the application must take place within Québec territory or within a territory related to the ITHQ’s development prospects or recruitment objectives.  

Projects involving students or instructors

  • Applications directly involving students or instructors will only be considered if they can be integrated into the ITHQ’s pedagogical objectives and contents. 
  • These applications must be submitted at least 12 months before the start of the project or event so that they can be properly assessed by teaching teams and, where appropriate, incorporated into course syllabus and school calendars.   

Requests for volunteers

The ITHQ does not promote volunteer opportunities to students. However, it is possible to publish a job or internship offer on our site.   

Possible ITHQ contributions 

  • The ITHQ does not offer monetary donations or sponsorships.  
  • The ITHQ may, on occasion, offer gift vouchers redeemable at Restaurant de l’ITHQ, bar  Blanc bec, Hôtel de l’ITHQ, La Relève gourmande teaching restaurant or Ateliers SAQ par ITHQ. In such cases, the choice of service and the value of the gift are at the discretion of the ITHQ.  

Deadlines

  • Filing of application: at least 3 months before the event or project 
  • If involving students or instructors: at least 12 months before the event or project 

Any requests that do not meet these deadlines may be automatically rejected.

Response timeframe 

All complete applications will receive an email response from ITHQ within 30 days of receipt. 

Renewal of your agreement 

If your request is approved, it will not be renewed automatically. To renew your agreement with the ITHQ, you must submit a new application following the established procedure. Your request will once again be reviewed based on the applications received and the budgets available at the time of submission.
