Financial aid and scholarships

Need a little help financing your studies? Discover the different types of financial assistance and scholarships that could help you pursue your studies at the ITHQ.

Government of Québec loans and bursaries

The Québec government’s Loans and Bursaries Program provides financial assistance to Québec residents who are enrolled full-time in a recognized program of study.

Which programs are eligible for loans and bursaries?

Vocational (DVS and AVS), technical (DCS) and university (bachelor’s degree and certificate) programs are eligible for the Loans and Bursaries Program when taken on a full-time basis.

How do I apply?

Canadian students residing outside Québec and international students are not eligible for the Québec government’s Loans and Bursaries Program. However, they can check with the appropriate authorities in their province, territory or country of residence to find out whether other financial assistance programs are available.

Student scholarships

Every year, numerous scholarships are awarded to ITHQ students to support them throughout their studies and help them achieve their goals. In 2025–2026, 175 scholarships were awarded thanks to the Fondation de l’ITHQ and its partners.

Whether you’re looking to complete an internship, be recognized for your academic achievements or bring a project to life, a variety of scholarship opportunities may be available depending on your situation.

Types of scholarships offered

Work-Study Scholarship Program

The Work-Study Scholarship Program allows eligible new students to work part-time at a partner hotel while receiving up to $2,000 per year in reimbursement for certain study-related expenses. It’s a great way to help finance your studies while gaining professional experience in your field.

Other sources of funding

  • Some financial institutions also offer a student line of credit service for students admitted to specific ITHQ programs.
  • Do you want to pursue studies in a field related to your job? Ask your employer if you are eligible for a skills development program. If this is the case, your employer could agree to pay all or part of your tuition fees.
