The Charter of the French language and its regulations govern the consultation of English-language content.

To be eligible for this program, you must demonstrate proficiency in oral and written French and English.

Therefore, you must provide one of the following documents with your admission application: 

  • Result of a language test recognized by the ITHQ, OR
  • Proof of exemption from language test

Exemption criteria for language tests

French

You do not have to take a French language test if you have completed 2 consecutive years of full-time study in French at the secondary (senior) or post-secondary level. If this applies to you, your transcript and diploma are sufficient proof of exemption from the language tests.

If this does not apply to you, you must take a language test and submit the result with your application. 

English

You do not need to take an English language test if you have completed 2 consecutive years of full-time study in English at the secondary (senior) or post-secondary level. If this applies to you, your transcript and diploma are sufficient proof of exemption from the language tests.

If this does not apply to you, you must take a language test and submit the result with your application. 

The ITHQ reserves the right to require a language test in French or English, regardless of the applicant’s status.
