Did you know?
Via our participation in Clean the World’s personal hygiene product recovery program, we have shipped over 900 lbs. of soap and diverted over 1 850 lbs. of waste from landfill.
Unused hygiene products are processed and sent to global NGOs that run hygiene access programs for women, children and communities in need.
Programs and certifications
GreenStep
GreenStep’s Sustainable Tourism Pathway provides tourism businesses with an assessment based on criteria recognized by the Global Sustainable Tourism Council (GSTC), as well as a badge certifying the level achieved. In 2026, the ITHQ Hotel achieved Level 3.
Green Key
Developed by the Hotel Association of Canada (HAC), Green Key awards between 1 to 5 green keys based on the environmental performance of hospitality facilities. The Hôtel de l’ITHQ was awarded 4 green keys in its last evaluation in 2020.
LEAF
ITHQ has achieved Level 2 of 3 of LEAF certification, Canada’s only environmental certification for foodservice operations.This label confirms that our building is operated in an eco-friendly manner and that our practices are based on the principles of sustainable development.
