The chardon is a chefs-in-residency program founded in 2016 by the Small Group (formerly The Paris Popup, a travelling trio that started their roving restaurant in 2013).

The internship will consist of helping the manager of the chardon run the residency program, including food supplier management and costing, social, employee onboarding and management, event management.

Description

All aspects of business management will be explored!

Ordering, accounting, food costs, beverage costs.

Employee cost management, scheduling.

Reporting.

Events management, including overseeing a one-week popup in July with our sister business, Petrin Couchette (Marseille) during the opening week of the prestigous photography festival that happens in arles every summer.

Chardon is a 45-seat restaurant in Arles, in the heart of Provence and Camargue. With access to incredible produce and wines, the chardon has made a name for itself with over 9 years of incredible business performance in the small town famous for the photography festival, the luma arts foundation, the roman architecture, the historic link to van gogh.

Profil requis

We are looking for someone with great people skills, entrepreneurial at heart, independant, interested in all aspects of business management and development, passionate about food and wine, should be comfortable using excel & word, be able to learn softwares quickly (hr management, accounting, haccp & hygiene, invoice-creation, website management etc), be able to put together simple budgets & production plans (private caterings for dior, for example, or popup events).

Someone who is willing to be hands-on in all areas of a bustling, buzzy restaurant!
