As part of the 2026 edition of the <\/span>Montr\u00e9al en Lumi\u00e8re<\/span><\/a> festival, the Restaurant de l\u2019ITHQ is pleased to welcome the <\/span>Miyagi Culinary Arts School <\/span><\/b>(Japan) for three exceptional evenings.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

On February 25, 26 and 27,<\/span><\/span> Chef Jin Numata<\/span><\/b>, his team, the sudents, and the ITHQ brigade will unite their talents to offer an experience where Japanese traditions meet Qu\u00e9bec creativity.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

About the Miyagi Culinary Arts School<\/span><\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/span><\/h3>\n

Founded in 1962 in Sendai, the Miyagi Culinary Arts School is the leading culinary training institution in Northern Japan. Renowned for the rigor of its programs and its deep connection to Japanese culinary traditions, it trains passionate and highly skilled chefs each year.<\/span><\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

About Chef Jin Numata<\/span><\/span><\/h3>\n

Born in Sendai in 1954, Chef Jin Numata joined the Miyagi Culinary Arts School in 1972. He began his career at the <\/span>kapp\u00f4<\/span> restaurant <\/span><\/span>Sh\u00f4chiku<\/span><\/span>, before continuing as chef at <\/span><\/span>Hide<\/span><\/span> and later at <\/span><\/span>Sendai <\/span>Sh\u00f4zankan<\/span><\/span>. In 1997, he became the owner of <\/span><\/span>Sendaibaku<\/span><\/span>, returning to <\/span><\/span>Sh\u00f4zankan<\/span><\/span> in 2001. Since 2010, he has been teaching Japanese cuisine and regularly publishing recipes. His <\/span>expertise<\/span> has earned him <\/span>numerous<\/span> international distinctions, including the title of <\/span><\/span>Gourmet Master Chef<\/span><\/span><\/strong> awarded in Hong Kong.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n
