It is an agreement between a CEGEP and a university that enables technical DCS (DEC) graduates to earn credits for certain courses. The result: <strong>a shorter and more streamlined university track.<\/strong>\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>With the ITHQ DCS-BAC pathway, you could have up to <strong>30 credits (10 courses)<\/strong> recognized and complete your university degree <strong>in just 2 years instead of 3.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">What are the requirements to be eligible for the DCS-BAC pathway?&nbsp;<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">BGTH pathway<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>This pathway is <strong>exclusively available to graduates of ITHQ technical programs.<\/strong>&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>To be eligible, you must:&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Have graduated from, or be in the process of completing, an ITHQ diploma in <a href=\"https:\/\/www.ithq.qc.ca\/en\/future-students\/programs\/hotel-management-techniques\/\">Hotel Management Techniques<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.ithq.qc.ca\/en\/future-students\/programs\/tourism-techniques\/\">Tourism Techniques<\/a>, or <a href=\"https:\/\/www.ithq.qc.ca\/en\/future-students\/programs\/restaurant-management-techniques\/\">Restaurant Management Techniques<\/a>.&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Have a minimum R-Score of 26&nbsp;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Meet the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.ithq.qc.ca\/en\/future-students\/programs\/bachelor-in-tourism-and-hotel-management\/#admission\">admission requirements<\/a> of the bachelor&#8217;s program&nbsp;<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>Please note that to be eligible for pathway, the <strong>chosen concentration must be directly related to your technical program<\/strong>, i.e.:&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Hotel Management Techniques or Restaurant Management Techniques for the&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/etudier.uqam.ca\/programme?code=7589\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Hotel and Restaurant Management<\/a> concentration.&nbsp;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Tourism Techniques for the <a href=\"https:\/\/etudier.uqam.ca\/programme?code=7423\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Tourism Organization and Destination Management<\/a> concentration.&nbsp;<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-vortex-blocks-notification-message notification-message-block\"><div class=\"notification-message-block__inner\"><p class=\"notification-message-block__title notification-title\">Good to know<\/p>\n<p>The Tourism Management and Cultural, Heritage, and Indigenous Tourism Management concentrations that are also offered in the BGTH program are not currently eligible for the DCS-BAC pathway.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">BAGAH pathway<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>This pathway is not exclusive to ITHQ graduates. Am I eligible for the DCS-BAC pathway?&nbsp;<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Yes, the pathway is also available to graduates of the two ITHQ technical programs offered through partner CEGEPs:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Restaurant Management Techniques: offered at <a href=\"https:\/\/www.cmontmorency.qc.ca\/programmes\/nos-programmes-detudes\/techniques\/gestion-dun-etablissement-de-restauration\/description-du-programme\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Coll\u00e8ge Montmorency<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.cegepjonquiere.ca\/gestion-dun-etablissement-de-restauration.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">C\u00e9gep de Jonqui\u00e8re<\/a> and <a href=\"https:\/\/ceccharlevoix.ca\/gestion-d-un-etablissement-de-restauration.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Centre d\u2019\u00e9tudes de Charlevoix&nbsp;<\/a>&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Hotel Management Techniques: offered at <a href=\"https:\/\/ccmt.cstj.qc.ca\/programmes\/gestion-hoteliere\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Centre coll\u00e9gial de Mont-Tremblant<\/a>&nbsp;<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">What if I&#8217;m not an ITHQ graduate?&nbsp;<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">BGTH pathway<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>This pathway is <strong>exclusive to ITHQ graduates<\/strong>. However, depending on the college or university program you have completed, you may be able to apply for <a href=\"https:\/\/etudier.uqam.ca\/reconnaissance-acquis\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">recognition of prior learning and competencies<\/a> (RAC) from UQAM (maximum of 5 recognized courses depending on the program and the R-score obtained).&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">BAGAH pathway<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>This pathway is available to <strong>anyone who holds one of the following diplomas<\/strong>, even if it was obtained at an institution other than the ITHQ:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Hotel Management (430.A0) \u2013 <strong>10 recognized courses<\/strong>&nbsp;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Food Service Management (430.B0) \u2013 <strong>10 recognized courses<\/strong>&nbsp;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Tourism (414.A0) \u2013 <strong>10 recognized courses<\/strong>&nbsp;<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>Some courses may also be credited if you have successfully completed the following programs:&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Business Management<strong> <\/strong>(410.D0) \u2013 <strong>5 recognized courses<\/strong>\u202f&nbsp;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Community Recreation Leadership Training<strong> <\/strong>(391.A0) \u2013 <strong>3 recognized courses<\/strong>&nbsp;<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">How do I register for the DCS-BAC pathway?&nbsp;<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">If you are applying to BGTH<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Select the DCS-BAC (DEC-BAC) track program code for the concentration of your choice when applying for admission on the <a href=\"https:\/\/etudier.uqam.ca\/admission\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">UQAM website<\/a>.&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">If you are applying to BAGAH<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>There is nothing specific you need to do.
