Located in the heart of Montreal, one of the world’s most welcoming cities, the ITHQ is a public school that offers three levels of programs: vocational (DVS), technical (DCS) and university (BA). Although some programs may have quotas, your practical experience and passion for the field will also be considered for your application. So try your luck!
To train students, the ITHQ relies not only on the expertise of its 100 instructors but also on the contribution of industry specialists and leaders. A culinary demonstration by Antonin Mousseau-Rivard, a round-table discussion with Christiane Germain, a champagne tasting with Vitalie Taittinger, or a surprise visit by Martin Juneau are all examples of opportunities for students to talk to and get inspired by the greatest names in the field.
Studying at the ITHQ gives you big tools for your professional toolbox before you even enter the job market. All programs include practical internships, some of which are paid. With partners such as Fairmont, Club Med and Relais & Châteaux, these internships will boost your CV while letting you develop your sense of leadership.
You also have many opportunities to learn your job without having to leave school: with a café, bar, two restaurants and a 4-star hotel operated by students, the ITHQ is an incredible training environment!
The ITHQ's vocational and technical programs are enhanced by internships and educational content that go beyond the requirements of the Ministère de l’Éducation et de l’Enseignement supérieur. Through the ITHQ Signature programs, our students see and do more. Your combined diploma will give you a big leg up when it comes to standing out in the industry.
The ITHQ is a small school with a big heart. Here, everyone knows everyone else, and your education is personalized. This is the best place to develop close connections with the ITHQ family—a network that will follow you throughout your career. Studying at the ITHQ means not only learning a profession: it also means becoming part of a vibrant and warm community, just like our industry itself! Whether you get involved with the student association or join our entrepreneurship, outdoor, or sommelier clubs, the opportunities to get involved are almost endless.
