The Charter of the French language and its regulations govern the consultation of English-language content.

All international students (with the exception of candidates with French citizenship) who wish to enrol in a technical program (DCS) at the ITHQ must provide proof of financial capacity when submitting their application for admission. 

This document is compulsory, which means it must be included in your file for your application to be processed.

What is proof of financial capacity?

A clear and legible copy of each document providing evidence that you currently have the equivalent of CAN$14,500 to cover the cost of your study project

Similar documents will also be required to obtain your study permit, as they show that you have sufficient funds to pay your tuition fees and cover your living expenses during your first year of study in Québec.

Which documents qualify as proof of financial capacity?

The following documents may be submitted: 

  • A bank letter indicating current balance or up-to-date bank book and proof of ownership of bank book
  • Proof of Canadian bank account
  • Guaranteed Investment Certificate (GIC) from a participating financial institution
  • Bank statements for the past 4 months
  • Recent proof of transfer of funds or any other document showing your assets and other sources of income
  • Recent funds transfer authorization from the foreign exchange controls office in your country of origin or residence
  • Other official documents
