Hygiene and food safety training session

The online Hygiene and Food Safety training has the support of the ministère de l’Agriculture, des Pêcheries et de l’Alimentation (MAPAQ), the Société des chefs, cuisiniers et pâtissiers du Québec and Emploi-Québec. This program makes it possible to obtain the Hygiene and food safety licence from the MAPAQ. The MAPAQ written examination is the final step in attaining the provincially recognized Hygiene and Food Safety certificate. Please take note that MAPAQ final examinations are regularly held in the following cities: Montréal, Quebec City, Sherbrooke and Gatineau. Exams in other cities could also be arranged under certain conditions. For registrations, evaluation dates and locations, candidates must contact the ITHQ online services.

Important : Only the person registered to the training will be admitted to the final examination.

  • Examination fees payable to exam supervisors may be charged and are subject to change according to location. Examination fees are not refundable nor transferable to a later date.

MAPAQ certification is now mandatory for all food workers

Practical training session
The ITHQ’s training session is the only one offered online. Using your computer and in just a few hours, this program will enable you to identify most situations involving health risks during food handling and preparation. It will provide you with the means to control these risks and to help reduce the number of incidences of food poisoning.
