Online training session in hygiene and food safety

Answers to six technical questions

1. Does my screen have the right resolution?
The minimum screen resolution required is 1024 per 768 pixels.

2. How can I find and modify my screen’s resolution?
PC computer:
In the Start menu, Select Settings and click on Control Panel. Then select the Display icon, the Display Properties window and the Settings tab. The current screen resolution is then displayed. To modify it, scroll the arrow from left to right with the mouse. Then click on OK to save the change.

Mac computer

In the Apple menu, select System Preferences and click on Display. The configuration shown should meet the requirements of the online session.

3. How can I make sure that I have the minimum Internet connexion rate required?
There is no minimum rate required. However, in order to benefit fully from the training session, we recommend the use of one of the following types of access: cable modem or ADSL.

4. What Web browser is best suited to this training session?
This session is accessible using one of the main browsers, such as Internet Explorer or Firefox.

5. What can I do if I cannot access the online training session?
You need to save the ITHQ site [http://www.ithq.qc.ca] as a trusted site (Internet Explorer) or authorized site (Firefox).

6. What is a trusted site or an authorized site?
According to Microsoft, a trusted site is a site that you trust, i.e. a site from which downloading and file execution do not, in your opinion, pose a risk for your computer or your data. Firefox defines an authorized site as a site in which you allow pop-ups.
