Duration and schedule

COVID-19

In-class teaching activities at the ITHQ will resume in fall 2021. Evening continuing education classes will be held in person, even if a curfew is reinstated. Courses

General course content:

This level provides detailed analyses of the principal wines of the world. In each course, students will benefit from in-depth wine tastings, thereby learning to identify product style and quality.

  • Introduction to wine tasting techniques including an overview of wine producing regions around the world
  • Introduction to the principles of viticulture and vinification
  • Analysis of the fortified wines of the world, including numerous wine tastings

NOTES:

  • For more information, please refer to the official specification
  • Students will be asked to come pick up their WSET® materials one month before the start of the course. It is strongly suggested that you read these materials before starting the program.
  • The program includes two exams to be corrected in London: one requiring both short and developed written answers, and one requiring blind tastings. The exams are held on the last day of the course.

Business attire is required at all times. All students must adhere to certain basic professional image rules.
