You must meet the following criteria for eligibility to this program:

  • Be at least 18 years of age before the courses begin.
  • Hold at least a high school or vocational diploma, or have a level of education considered sufficient.
  • Be fluent in spoken and written French and English; an ability to speak a third language such as German or Spanish is an asset.
  • Undergo an interview during which your language skills will be evaluated. These interviews will be held remotely during the last week of June and the last 2 weeks of August. The exact dates will be confirmed by email.

You must also meet one of the following conditions:

  • You must have stopped your full-time studies for at least 2 consecutive sessions or 1 academic year OR
  • You must have pursued post-secondary education for at least 1 year.

Acceptance decisions will be sent out the week of September 6, 2021.  

This program is not open to international applicants since a student visa cannot be obtained in Quebec for part-time programs lasting more than 6 months.

  • Tuition fees are fully refundable if students cancel their registration 10 business days before the first day of the term.
  • Tuition fees will be refunded minus a 25% administrative fee if students cancel their registration less than 10 business days before the first day of the term.  
  • No refunds will be granted after this date. 
  • The ITHQ reserves the right to cancel a course or program due to insufficient enrolment. In such cases, application and tuition fees are refunded.


  • Other fees include third-party liability insurance, compulsory for all.
  • Students should allow for additional costs to purchase books and lecture notes.
  • All amounts are in Canadian dollars.
  • All amounts listed can changed without noticed.
  • Employers subject to the Act to promote workforce skills development and recognition are entitled to submit the cost of this training program as part of the 1% of total payroll that companies must invest in employee training.

Financial aid

Various Canadian banks offer a student line of credit service for candidates admitted to this program.
