Chantal Casavant has a bachelor’s in business administration from Université du Québec à Trois-Rivières and a workplace trainer's certificate from UQAM, and she is currently pursuing a master's in administration. An experienced manager with thirty years of experience, she implemented and led a regional destination management organization for nearly twenty years before moving to a role in corporate service review and launching the MTLàTABLE event with Tourisme Montréal. Ms. Casavant sits on the committees and boards of many organizations, such as Destination Marketing Association International, the Conseil québécois des ressources humaines en tourisme and the Association des professionnels de congrès du Québec. Since 2012, she has used her vast experience in human resources, project and professional relationship management to help train university and CEGEP students in hospitality, tourism and event management programs.
Under her supervision, students in the ITHQ’s Gestion touristique / Tourism Management program researched and drafted an e-brochure entitled 5 tendances incontournables en tourisme (5 hottest trends in tourism) (2014). She also helped students in the Hautes Études en gestion hôtelière internationale / Advanced Studies in International Hotel Management develop the concept and plan the launch for the ITHQ’s lobby bar in fall 2016.
