With an individualized master’s degree and a bachelor’s degree in comparative postcolonial literature from Concordia University, Audrey Nanot is currently pursuing a graduate diploma in human resources management at HEC Montréal. Since 2008, she has taught hotel and tourism management at both the CEGEP and university level for the ITHQ and has been a researcher since 2014. At the start of her career, Ms. Nanot worked for seven years in the corporate event sector and protocol sector in Montreal and around the world.
With a passion for human resources management, Ms. Nanot is known for her expertise in innovative management methods and the development of diversity in the industry. Her interest in how individual preferences relate to cultural background and how these preferences are expressed at the workplace led her to conduct a research project on engaging students in tourism, hotel and restaurant careers, which she did under the supervision of professor and researcher Jean Lagueux. She presented a scientific poster on this topic at the 2015 annual conference of the International Council on Hotel, Restaurant and Institutional Education (CHRIE).
