The ITHQ presents its first signature wine
The Restaurant de l'Institut is proud to present the ITHQ's first signature wine, Q blanc.
A dash of eccentricity, a generous dose of passion, and an abundance of perseverance, all qualities shared by both our students and the grape producers of Québec, went into the making of Q blanc. The Québec Seyval Blanc grapes used to produce this white wine provide a bouquet with hints of green apple, white flowers and honeysuckle, and while light and dry, it displays a lively freshness.
The Q blanc project is an initiative of the professors teaching the Applied Restaurant Management (Gestion appliquée en restauration) program, as part of the course Commercialisation de produits et services and in collaboration with the vineyard Vignoble du Marathonien. Working in teams of two, all third-year program students were asked to come up with a product design meeting specific requirements. Their originality, overall concept and presentation were assessed by a jury of professors, marketing experts, and vineyard representatives. At the end of the process, they selected the project by students Jessika Lanthier and Éliane Giasson. The name Q blanc won the jury over for both its originality and daring.
Whether savoured as an aperitif or with a light meal, Q blanc will be sure to delight your taste buds. Pleasure like this has to be shared!
