Inaugurated in 2005, the Restaurant de l’Institut is located on Saint-Denis Street and can seat 65 guests in a spacious and airy setting. During the week, the kitchen and dining room host ITHQ students who are nearing completion of their programs and putting into practice, under the watchful eyes of their professors, what they have learned in class.
With its refined cuisine and attentive service, the Restaurant de l’Institut is a testament to the quality of the culinary training that has helped make the ITHQ a leading hotel school. The service staff’s know-how, particularly in terms of food and wine pairing, further enhances the customer experience. Its peaceful and cozy atmosphere is bathed in natural light and heightened by the splendid view of Square Saint-Louis right across the street.
The Restaurant de l'Institut is proud of its eco-conscious commitment, which it implements through practices that limit its ecological footprint. It has been listed in the Tourisme Montréal restaurant directory as an eco-friendly establishment since 2013, and it is also a member of Aliments du Québec au Menu, a recognition program for restaurants that promote Québec terroir products along with the artisans and producers who make them.
