In Québec, liquor license holders and their employees can be held responsible for incidents involving clients who have consumed too much alcohol in their establishment. The Service in Action program, developed in partnership with ÉducAlcool and intended for owners, managers and service staff at establishments where alcoholic beverages are served, helps learners better understand the nature of these responsibilities, and as a result reduce the risk of lawsuits or of having their liquor license suspended or revoked.
The CER has contributed to the creation of a hygiene and food safety program intended for all food handlers, as well as for supervisors and managers at foodservice establishments. The only program of its kind to be available on-line, it makes it possible to identify, in just a few hours, most of the situations that pose a health risk when handling and preparing foods, and to obtain the MAPAQ hygiene and food safety license.

As stipulated in the Travel Agents Act, travel professionals are now required to pass an exam on the laws and regulations associated with the sale of tourism services. Passing this exam will confirm that they have acquired the necessary knowledge to offer services respecting the laws and regulations governing the industry.
The ITHQ sets the stage… and the table! The CER has developed three foodservice video capsules (French only).
